Paper Mache

Paper mache, also known as papier-mâché, is a crafting technique that involves creating objects by layering pieces of paper soaked in a paste-like mixture, typically made from glue or starch, and allowing them to dry and harden. The resulting object can be lightweight, sturdy, and can take on various shapes and forms. It has been used for centuries as a method to create a variety of items, including masks, sculptures, piñatas, and decorative objects.

We at House Of Ekam wanted to give a twist to this craft and make beautiful animal sculptures which can be used as desk/shelf/office or kids nursery decor. Each paper mache home decoration item is 100% handcrafted by artisans in Jodhpur, Rajasthan and painted by hand.

Each piece you see is a House Of Ekam original print and has taken us months to conceptualize and manufacture.
